Keister Riffle is about five minute drive off of highway 70 (See Map)

once you turn into the park entrance spot number 10,

half of the road is paved the other half is gravel dirt road. Scenery and wildlife all around. I followed the road until I saw signs posted that there were not any vehicles allowed past this point, it seemed this was for hunting season. Once parked I scoped out the path down to the water.

You will be parking on a levy. There was a path down to the water that was not to bad, loose gravel and rocks but I did not slip or fall. Once you get down the levy you will see a nice little sandbar you can stand on.

There’s a quick drop off and the Riffle comes right through there that is actually the tail end of the riffle.

I attempted to go up and around the bend further up into the riffle and was unsuccessful there was no real access to the water that was wadable Lots of berry bushes in the way. Made about 20 or 30 cast I had no action did see a few fish rise. Decided to move on. Ended my day back at the Thermalito afterbay for one wild Steelhead.
